The official GriffonneurPress book club has been stuck on anime the last few books, but today we’ve moved on. We’re reading THE TENOR WORE TAPSHOES by Mark Schweizer. It’s the third Hayden Konig mystery, punished by St. James Music Press. It was a random pick from Once Upon A Crime bookstore and a bit off the beaten path for our club. However, it was quirky enough to get picked up and has been full of surprises so far. We’ll let you know what we think when we finish it.

The bookclub finished THE TENOR WORE TAPSHOES and we rated it a 3+ overall. It was a quick and easy read, with plenty of wit and comedy. We thought the characters were overly endowed with money, job titles, and capabilities, so much so as to be bordering on super human. The story revolving around the personalities and politics of a church parish did ring true though, according to the experiences of several of us. A solidly humorous, quick read.
